Cabinet minister defends scheme allowing PM to skip isolation

Housing, Communities and Local Government Secretary, Robert Jenrick defends Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak not having to isolate, despite being a contact of a COVID case.

"You're right to say the PM and Chancellor were contacted by NHS track and trace overnight, which shows the system is working," he says.

Mr Jenrick says the pilot daily testing scheme, which Mr Johnson and Mr Sunak will be taking part in, is available "to a range of organisations, not just to politicians".
