Gov’t urged to intensify public health messages

The Uganda Red Cross is urging government to place greater emphasis on educating the masses about how to deal with Covid-19, including the observance of standard operating procedures.

The call follows the growing involvement of the emergency care organisation in testing, and counselling supporting Covid-19 patients.

Red Cross spokesperson, Irene Nakasiita says Covid-19 is here for some time and the public needs to be educated on how to live in an environment where the virus thrives.
