Salvation Army Today - 7.13.2021 - Investing in Youth

Each year, The Salvation Army of Omaha provides nearly 2,500 children with after-school activities, summer camp experiences, music instruction, and more. Many Omaha children face a number of threats and challenging circumstances, including poverty, broken homes, violence and a lack of positive role models in their lives. The Salvation Army provides safe places throughout the metro for kids and teenagers, offering diverse programming like sports teams, music groups, art classes, homework help, character-building activities, and overnight and day camps. This city-wide programming is possible thanks to the generous support of funding partners and the community, which ensures the youth have the chance to reach their full potential.
