There are 'consequences' to not being vaccinated

Infectious diseases expert Professor Peter Collignon says there will be consequences for those who “decide” to not get vaccinated.

Professor Collignon said not being vaccinated is a “conscious choice” and there are “consequences to that choice”.

“The people who will need to stay in their homes more are the ones unvaccinated rather than people who’ve made the decision to get vaccinated,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

He said Australia won’t see sufficient vaccination numbers until later this year.

“We don’t really know how many people we have to vaccinate, most of us think 70-80 per cent of adults.

“And realistically, that’ll be October, November this year, probably that we get to quite a reasonable number of doses being given.”
