With gratitude and appreciation this yoga nidra for manifestation was filmed on the We Wai Kai Lands on Quadra island, next to Rebecca Spit. It is infused with truly magical energy. During the filming a We Wai Kai person was drumming and chanting healing prayers and there was a pod of orca whales that went by. When you practice, you will be able to connect with the extraordinary spirit that infuses this practice.

When we set intentions we are programming our unconscious mind to tell it the direction we want to go in our lives. It allows us to create a plan, direction and vision for our life. Intention will withdraw our energy from where we don’t want to go and place our energy where we do want to go in our lives.

Intentions and goals are different. When we set an intention we are heading in a particular direction, but we let go of our attachment to the outcome. That way, when we experience the inevitable bumps along the road to our manifest life, we no longer need to judge or criticize ourselves. We don’t need to feel stress or inner conflict if things take longer than we expected or we don’t arrive exactly where we originally envisioned ourselves.

With intention we move in a direction and appreciate the journey. It does not mean we are expecting perfection. “Progress not perfection” can be our mantra as we witness our intentions coming to pass in our lives.

In yoga nidra, because our brainwaves are in such a relaxed state we are actually rewriting negative programming. Through repeated practice we are reprogramming our bodies, minds, spirits, energy and emotional bodies to create the ideal conditions to manifest our intentions. By emptying out tension we create the optimal conditions for the intention to be received and to flow through the energy meridian channels of your body. You become a neutral slate for the influence of your intention in this relaxed state.

Yoga nidra goes beyond techniques like hypnosis so that you may know a wholeness that resides beyond your critical thinking mind. In yoga nidra the yin and yang of the hemispheres of your brain and the left and right sides of your body, become a unified whole. Synchronized movement between the two halves of the brain in yoga nidra has been shown in medical imaging PET scans.
