Need to migrate container workloads across clusters and maintain their states? Erik Nelson from the Konveyor community joins this episode to look at how Crane can help migrate Kubernetes workloads. What is Crane? Crane is a Konveyor project focused on application portability and migration that allows you to migrate container workloads across clusters, eliminating the need to re-write and re-deploy code. Downstream, the product is known as Migration Toolkit for Containers (MTC), and with several large-scale production migrations under the team's belt, they've incorporated many lessons learned back into the project. We'll be talking about how the current generation of Crane/MTC helps users migrate their workloads between clusters and the importance of application portability in the context of hybrid cloud environments. Finally, we'll talk about the direction of our next generation of tools and the problems we're trying to solve in the future.
