Zaki Anwari: Young, Talented Afghan Footballer Who Died Falling From Plane In Bid To Escape Taliban

Zaki Anwari, who had clung to the underbelly of a C-17 Globemaster among the victims died after falling from sky. The tragic news was confirmed by Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports in a Facebook post. In a video, that went viral on social media, a crowd of people can be seen running along with the C-17 aircraft of the US Air Force. In a second video, people appear to be falling off the same aircraft soon after it took off from the Kabul airport on August 16.
