All of these exercises work on improving the mobility of the interossei and lumbrical muscles of the hand. Stretching of these muscles can also be beneficial for carpal tunnel syndrome since your lumbricals can pull into the carpal tunnel. This can cause compression on your median nerve.

Lumbrical tightness can also occur if you use your hands a lot from computer use, playing an instrument, gaming, or if you've had a finger, hand, or even a wrist injury.

I am such a huge advocate of finding exercises and movement that increase your finger mobility and hand function. I know you'll find these exercises effective and easy to follow, even without having to use any equipment.
