From an immigration viewpoint, before Brexit this association used to be flawless. There was no formalities and no need to be concerned about what was or was not permitted under the UK's immigration rules and regulations. Individuals arrived, they worked, they left and businesses were pleased.
With borders and offices now opening once again, businesses and foreign workers are challenged with the actualities of the end of free movement. The first urge is to instantly turn to the sponsor licence system for answers. But solutions are not always there to be located. The sponsor licence system is okay for businesses that desire to employ foreign staff to work with them on a long-term basis. In conditions where a business requires workers for a finite number of weeks or months rather than years, the sponsor licence system turns out to be cumbersome. Prices are high, systems are complex, entitled roles are limited, and workers need to pass an authorized English language test in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
For many businesses, rather than capitalizing in a sponsor licence, the solution may in fact lie in the UK's visit visa rules. This is somewhat astonishing, given that the first and second guidelines of visit visa club are "no work permitted".
