Technical Relief organization and fire brigade have to pump out water at the Tesla Giga Berlin's construction site due to prolonged rain. Hopefully, the interior is not damaged because infiltration areas are not yet connected. In this report, I have some details for you about what may have happened at Tesla Giga Berlin’s construction site due to Thursday's prolonged rains.
Due to the prolonged rain on Thursday, massive amounts of water were collected on the roof of the Tesla Giga Berlin factory and poured onto the building site. The Technical Relief Organization (THW) was on the site on Friday for an assignment lasting several hours. Because no infiltration areas were connected yet, the water had to be pumped out, as the THW confirmed to the rbb. The interior of the Giga Berlin factory’s halls should not be affected. The pumps continued to run on Friday evening, the THW has meanwhile been able to move away.
Firefighters from the area around the Tesla settlement and the technical relief organization had already arrived on Thursday evening, as the Märkische Oderzeitung first reported.
A user named Rudersdorfer comments sunder RBB’s report and writes “The flat roofs of the 3 cement works at that time had to bear completely different loads. CEMENT; quite firm; got hard. From time to time the colleagues from production had to be called in there and remove the stuff. There was a risk of collapse. In some halls, the cement dust was 10-15 cm high. The huge electric motors were encased in cement, but they continued to run without any problems.“
