The increase in heatwaves in Europe and unprecedented climatic conditions, particulary effecting these ecologically sensitive areas in Himalayas. These are some signs towards a dreadful future of Earth. Every year there is a decrease in snowfall and because of rise in average temperatures the important glaciers in Himalayas are melting fast. The effects of these changes are felt by communities surviving on these Glacier streams as large rivers are agriculturally less usable for agriculture.

Locally in Shina language "Hino bas" means (the abode of snow) or Drass is the coldest part of India and gets the most snow. But, as the children of Drass tell you in this reel, the snow is disappearing. And the knock-on effects will be felt by a billion people downstream.
