Dr. Kalaiselvan Periyasamy is an Environmental Consultant to various Private and
Government sector projects and developments in Tamil Nadu. He runs an Environmental
Consulting firm based in Chennai for the past 16 years. He is a recognized Environmental
Impact Assessment Coordinator (EC) and Functional Area Expert (FAE) accredited by National
Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), Quality Council of India. He is also an
Authorized Signatory for Chemical Testing that includes Air, Water, Wastewater,
Soil/Sediments, Solid waste & Noise by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and
Calibration Laboratories (NABL), Quality Council of India
Dr. Kalaiselvan Periyasamy is a Member of the Syllabus Subcommittee of Anna University under
the Faculty of Civil Engineering which is responsible for framing the syllabus for Under Graduate
and Post Graduate Courses in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Management in
TamilNadu.
Dr. Kalaiselvan Periyasamy is a Senior Consultant (Environment & Social) at the Centre for
Urbanization, Buildings & Environment (A Centre of Excellence of IIT Madras and Government
of Tamil Nadu) at Chennai. He is also a Member of the Board of Studies, Civil Engineering, VIT
University Vellore and a Member of the Board of Studies of Excel Engineering College
(Autonomous), Namakkal.
Dr. Kalaiselvan Periyasamy is a Member of the DMK Party since the year 2010. He is a State
Deputy Secretary of the DMK Party’s Environment Wing (DEW) since October 2021.
