In any greenhouse, one of your biggest limiting factors is going to be space. There are many ways of overcoming that issue, and one that we've found to be quite effective is to work UP!
Given the steep angle of our glazing and the tall north wall, there is a lot of "dead space" overhead that hypothetically could be filled with delicious edibles. And so we are working on exactly that!
With many different ways of maximizing vertical space, here Rob Avis details the ways that HE optimizes greenhouse growing here in Central Alberta, Canada.
Overall, we LOVE our passive solar greenhouse and are so excited to see how much of a season extension we end up getting! Our models show it should stay above freezing until well into December so stay tuned to find out ;)
