The Mimo brand bought out the Girard Perregaux company in 1928. Watches under the Girard Perregaux brand were focused on the American market, while in Europe watches were produced under the Mimo brand. After World War II, the Mimo brand ceased to exist and was replaced by Girard Perregaux.
