In Part 2 of our time at the Carlton County Fair, we start off showing how Jennifer's veggies did in the competition, along with sharing the kid's static 4-H projects. Friday morning is the big day. The Dairy Show kicks off at 8am with the 4-H portion of the show. Overall Trinity Dairy did very well. Our cattle that we leased out beat us, but it's all good. Trinity Dairy still has some work to do to have competitive Holsteins, but we'll get there. We had the Senior Champion Jersey, Brown Swiss, and Guernsey. Our Jersey, Mindy, also went on to be Overall Reserve Grand Champion, which was exciting.
Saturday was spent enjoying Fair food and watching the fireworks. Sunday was busy as always, with mutton busting, carnival rides, and lastly the Blue Ribbon Auction. The Fair flew by and before we knew it, it was time to head back home again. Plans are already in the works for next year!
